Connecting to Emerald and transferring files to and from your machine requires that you have a secure FTP client, one that uses the SSH protocol, on your Mac or PC.For connecting to Emerald:

Windows, Mac, and Linux - FileZilla (free, open-source)

On October 1st, 2008, the Emerald server domain name will change from emerald.tufts.edu to emerald.uit.tufts.edu. The following documentation will help you change the host server settings in your current and new software applications. Do not apply these changes before October 1, 2008.
