NOTE: Student email addresses may only be updated by their Trumpeter administrator.
By default, new email addresses at Tufts are setup with the first.last@tufts.edu (ex: Jane.Doe@tufts.edu) naming convention. The Update Email Address* tool gives users the opportunity to request a different listing, such as UTLN@tufts.edu, or an entry with no University affiliation, such as john@comcast.net.
*Email addresses used must be pre-existing valid email address.
To request an email address update:
- Log into Trumpeter Email Services. Under Email Address, click the update email address button.
- The Update Email Address screen will appear.
- You will see that there are 2 address change options available.
Choose an email address: will allow you to choose from email addresses that have been created for you in the past and are associated with you.
NOTE: You may have only one address listed here.
Enter a custom mailing address: will allow you to enter a customized choice, such as changing john.smith@tufts.edu to john@comcast.net.
NOTE: The address you enter here must already exist as a valid, working email address.
If you want to change your first.last address, contact your Tufts Email Administrator.
If you do not enter a complete or valid email address, you'll receive an error and be prompted to correct your entry.
- When you're finished, click Update Email Address. You should see notification that your "... email address has been successfully set to" your updated selection.
To return to the main Trumpeter Email Services page, click Manage your account on the Email Services navigation bar.
