Occasionally, you may receive automatic notifications from the Trumpeter email system alerting you that you are close to exceeding your email quota. Each Tufts Trumpeter account owner has a set amount of space, measured in megabytes, allotted to him/her on the email server. To check the amount of available space left in your account:


To check the status of your email quota:

  1. Log into Trumpeter Email Services.
    Look under Trumpeter Email Account to see your current email quota total used space.

  2. If your usage is close to your quota, there are several things you can do to help lower it. To lower the amount of data you have stored on the server, you must open your Trumpeter email client and delete, detach or move folders from there.

    Note: If you exceed your quota, you will not be able to receive email or store new sent mail in your Sent box until it is reduced.
