Although typically less visible and recognizable than the external services provided by many UIT groups, the internal services of the Finance and Administration group are an invaluable resource that keep the business side of UIT fiscally sound and on task. They provide financial, contractual, human resources, and administrative services and support to all UIT staff, as well as contractual and site license support to the larger university community. Specific services include:
- Integrated strategic, tactical, and financial planning process
- Budget development for annual operations, capital plan, and tactical projects
- Multi-year, total cost analyses and funding models
- Monitor and reconcile financial accounts
- Purchasing and other financial transactions
- Oversee daily operations of the Office of the CIO
- Administrative support to senior UIT leadership
- HR support for recruitment, affirmative action, and employee relations
- Contract negotiations and vendor management
- Coordinate University-wide volume software licenses purchases
