Customer Support Services, along with Academic Technology, puts a face on UIT by the measure of direct contact its staff has with Tufts students, staff, and faculty. In addition, Customer Support Services is often the contact point between other UIT departments and their clients by offering support services, account creation, and training for Tufts-specific applications and resources.

- UIT Support Center (UITSC)
The UITSC provides staff with assistance and problem resolution for all services delivered and supported by UIT via the UIT Call Center. Supported services include common desktop applications and security, Tufts licensed software distribution, and support of the campus Infoscreens. Account Administration provides students, faculty, and staff with account creation and account support for several of Tufts resources, including Trumpeter email, the Research Cluster, the Bioinformatics server, Emerald, and Elist mass mailing.

Staffed with well-trained, tech-savvy students, Tufts OnLine (TOL) keeps Medford campus student computers up and running by providing free IT support services, including DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) and copyright education sessions, throughout the school year. Virus and malware removal, hardware and software support, help with network connectivity, and limited data recovery services are just a few of reasons that students view TOL as a valuable partner in their academic success at Tufts.
