Communications and Organizational Effectiveness
In her role as Director of Communications and Organizational Effectiveness, Dawn is responsible for formulating and implementing internal and external communications plans and community outreach initiatives and for improving organizational collaboration, effectiveness, and flexibility. She leads UIT’s communication efforts surrounding new and existing IT products and services, oversees communication plans for IT implementations, markets technology events, and oversees the development and distribution of print and online promotional materials. As co-chair of the IT Leaders Forum, she also plays a key role in UIT’s outreach and education efforts through Tufts IT advisory program.
As a member of UIT’s senior leadership, she partners with her colleagues to create employee development programs that help staff to grow professionally and assist UIT in meeting its strategic and tactical goals. Dawn is a member of EDUCAUSE, NERCOMP, ECAR and The Boston Consortium for Higher Education. She holds a Bachelor’s in English/Professional Writing from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and in her spare time enjoys national and international travel and all that New England has to offer - hiking, biking, cross-country and down-hill skiing, regional arts and culture, and the many great restaurants found in and around Boston.
