Academic Technology (AT) offers faculty various design and development services related to the use of instructional technology through the Curricular Technology Group (CTG). These services include individual assistance and consultation from skilled staff in the areas of instructional design, interactive media design, graphic design and project development and management.
Besides individual consultations, CTG provides AT's A Partnership in Technology (APT) grant recipients project management support, as well as expertise in framing projects within appropriate learning and instructional design theories. For each APT project, a project plan is created and depending on the type of grant project, a functional design plan, a technical specifications plan and an instructional design plan are developed to guide the project work. An evaluation plan is also created to measure the effectiveness of the project in terms of its goals.
CTG also provides assistance with technical resources, such as programming and database development. CTG supervises an active student development team that helps AT staff with school and university-wide academic technology projects.
