As experience has demonstrated, funding for using information technology in instruction and research requires a combination of internal and external resources. To help faculty access these resources, UIT offers staff assistance through the following programs:

Grant Consultations
To assist faculty through the maze of federal agency and corporate and foundation grants available for innovative educational projects using technology, UIT can provide consultation on appropriate sources of external funding for IT projects and help with grant applications.
Software Grants
UIT's Software Grant program provides limited, matching funds for the acquisition of software in support of research or instruction. The purpose of this program is to facilitate access to specialized software solutions not currently available through existing software licensing programs. Software grant proposals will be supported to a maximum of $1000 unless special circumstances require increased support.
