The Summer Institute for Teaching and Learning with Technology focuses on technologies that support learning in the classroom. It is designed to help participants think about their students' learning goals and how technology might be used to attain these goals. Attending faculty engage in a week of seminars, discussions and hands-on technology workshops to learn and explore effective methods for integrating technology into their teaching, to develop assessment measures to evaluate the use of these technologies in the classroom, and to share and model pedagogically effective uses of technology with their colleagues. In addition to this information and training, each attendee receives AT staff assistance with instructional design decisions, media and technology choices, and course material transformation.
