Voicemail Services - Voicemail Orders, Special Services, and Passwords

Voicemail Orders

Voicemail is included in the monthly cost of a telephone. To order voicemail or to add or delete voicemail on an existing extension send an email to teldesk@tufts.edu. Send the extension and user name with your request. There is a five day turnaround on routine voicemail orders.


Special Voicemail Services

Specialized voicemail services are also available, including menu trees, announcement services and time of day tables. Menu trees are used to have more than one mailbox on an existing extension or to give callers multiple choices when they call a single number. Announcement services do not allow callers to leave a message. Time of day tables give callers a different message when your office is closed. To order special services or to learn more about them send an email to teldesk@tufts.edu with your request.


Password Resets

If you need to have the password reset on an existing voicemail box you may either send an email to teldesk@tufts.edu or you may call the Voice Communicatins Help Desk at extension 74357 or from outside the University at (617) 627-4357. Standard password resets will be completed within one business day of receipt.
