Calling Cards may be requested by emailing Teldesk@tufts.edu.
Please email the name, extension, department and Dept. ID of the person who will be using the calling card. This Dept. ID will be responsible for all charges incurred on the calling card. Calling cards are provided through an arrangement with MCI. Cards are restricted from high-risk fraud areas unless requested otherwise.
Calling Card Charges
Calling cards are billed via the monthly Telephone Cost Reports. There is a monthly charge of $1.50 per calling card as well as all costs associated with calling card usage.
Calling Card Fraud
Calling card fraud is a frequent occurrence. Anyone using a calling card should be cautious, especially in public areas. MCI has a fraud center and will deactivate any card that has suspicious activity. If your card has been deactivated or if you suspect fraudulent use, please notify Voice Communications as soon as possible by calling the Voice Communications Help Desk at x74357 or 617-627-4357 from outside the University or by emailing Teldesk@tufts.edu.
